It wasn 't exactly 'forced' since i fell in love with this book after chapter one. I admit, i read it because the name bugged me and i wanted to know if john dies at the end or not...but seriously, dispite the fact that everytime i had an adult over my shoulder wonding what i was doing, i kept feeling like i was hiding porn or something, it turned out great! I am, for one, totally stoked to be able to purchase a copy when it comes back out later this year.
